The United States is known to have sent a lot of arms aid to Kyiv. This was done so that the Ukrainian troops could fight back against the Russian army.
Quoted from 19fortyfive, the United States has indeed sent a security assistance package to Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion. The aid package is already worth billions of dollars. Most recently, Ukraine has just obtained four high mobility artillery rocket systems or HIMARS from the US.
