International Military - Bayraktar TB2 seems to be getting stronger armed with new mini missiles. The Turkish government research institute is known to have started mass-producing the new mini-munitions. This missile will later be fitted to the Bayraktar TB2 drone made by Turkish company Baykar Makina.

Quoted from Defense News, the missile was a bozok missile. The laser-guided Bozok missile was developed by the TÃœBÄ°TAK Institute for Defense Industry Research and Development. The missile has also undergone several successful fire tests.

Quoted from 19fortyfive.com, this laser-guided Bozok missile has undergone various firing tests which it has successfully completed. While the mini-ammunition can work in a variety of UAVs, the Bozok was specifically made to be mounted on the Bayraktar TB2 drone.

Bozok ammunition provides attack capability to unmanned aerial vehicles without compromising effective defense function. Extremely small and light, the mini-munitions also provide operational compatibility in weight-sensitive hosts.

The MAM-L munitions, typically used by Turkish-made combat drones, are smaller and heavier than the new Bozok variant. Bozok weighs 16 kilograms and is about 120 millimeters long. In comparison, the lightweight Smart Micro Munition MAM-L weighs 22 kilograms and is about 1 meter long. Engineers have expanded the Bozok's range from 9 km to 15 km.

Not only that, they are also working on a more effective warhead and further range expansion. The work is currently in the firing test phase, according to Gurcan OkumuÅŸ, who runs the research institute. Turkey's progress in the drone and munitions sector has steadily increased in recent years.
