Kiev - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday (11/8/2022) told officials to stop talking to reporters about Kiev's military tactics against Russia. Quoted from Reuters, President Volodymyr Zelensky said such statements were "frankly irresponsible".
War is definitely not the time for arrogance and loud statements. The less detail you disclose about our defense plan, the better for the implementation of that defense plan.
"If you want to make loud headlines, that's totally irresponsible. If you want a win for Ukraine, that's another thing. And, you have to realize your responsibility for every word you say about our country's plans for defense." or counterattack," Zelensky said.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar said the Ukrainian Security Service had opened an investigation into one of the cases in which officials spoke to newspapers. "Leaks like this disrupt the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as the enemy adapts his actions and uses this information against us," he wrote on Facebook.
Images released by the satellite company show three nearly identical craters where buildings at the Russian air base have been hit. Burnt husks from at least eight destroyed fighter planes were visible.
Zelensky delivered remarks to state, local and military officials and others he said commented on events on the front line.
Last month he sidelined an old friend as head of the Security Service and another ally as Attorney General in Kiev's biggest purge of internal war, citing their failure to root out Russian spies.
