Russia Uses New BMR-3M Vepr Armored Vehicle To Destroy Mines In Donbas |
International Military - In Donbass, the Russian military uses the latest BMR-3M Vepr armored mine destroyers. These armored vehicles are used to clear minefields created by Ukrainian militants.
The BMR-3M neutralized hundreds of anti-personnel, anti-tank and other mines on the territory of the cities of Volnovakha and Mariupol. The Ukrainian military is engaged in mining not only in dangerous tank areas, but also in civilian infrastructure facilities.
For example, recently near Volnovakhai, when defusing power lines with the help of trawlers, they neutralized 519 infantry and anti-tank mines. The BMR-3M uses a T-90 tank chassis. Unofficially this vehicle is called a saper tank.

Unlike the base model, the BMR-3M has a more powerful engine and reinforced armor. The Vepr is equipped with a trawler against pressure mines and mines with remote detonator detonators, as well as a remote radio signal jamming system. The width of the mine strip is four meters. For the convenience of operating its two crew members, the BMR-3M is equipped with air conditioning, a microwave and a toilet.
Meanwhile, Russian media reported that, ahead of Tank Day, the Uralvagonzavod factory delivered a batch of T-90M Proryv tanks and the latest BREM-1M engineering vehicles to Russian troops. The armored repair and evacuation vehicle is based on the T-90. Due to the powerful engine, it easily overcomes tilts even at 30 degrees with tilts up to 25 degrees.
If necessary, a machine is capable of evacuating damaged equipment weighing up to 52 tons. BREM is equipped with two cranes, namely hydraulic crane, coulter-buldozer, welding and other equipment.
