South Korea's LIG Nex1 to Produce the Third Batch of AT-1K Raybolt Anti-Tank Missiles |
Seoul - South Korea's LIG Nex1 has started production of the third batch of AT-1K Raybolt medium-range anti-tank missiles. The first system went into operation in June 2017.
LIG Nex1 presents Raybolt as a partner to the US FGM-148 Javelin and Israel's Spike-MR. The AT-1K Raybolt is a portable type missile, although it can also be mounted on a vehicle. This 3rd generation antitank system was used in real combat conditions in Yemen in 2018 by Saudi Arabia.
The missile incorporates an infrared seeker and a dual warhead. Raybolt has the ability to attack directly or vertically from above (Top Attack). The entire missile system weighs 20 kg and has a firing range of 2.5 – 3 km.
