The Su-34 is considered a technologically advanced fighter jet that Russia deployed during the civil war in Syria. Su-34 formations ambush rebel positions with guided bombs. As for the type equipped with air missiles, it is used to patrol Syrian airspace.
2. Sukhoi Su-35

Next is the Sukhoi Su-35. The Russian Air Force first fielded this fighter jet in Syria in early 2016. Quoted from the Military Watch Magazine page, at that time the purpose of deploying this aircraft was to support anti-aircraft security in the surrounding area. In this mission, the Su-35 is equipped with R-77 active radar-guided air missiles.
Furthermore, the deployment of these advanced fighter jets was also used against Turkey's F-16 Fighting Falcons.
