Moskow - Russia massively deployed Tu-95 bombers by firing cruise missiles at Ukraine's power grid and infrastructure. The attacks on November 23 cut power to at least a dozen areas and left millions of Ukrainians without power.

No half-hearted, Russia deployed about ten Russian bombers, each carrying six missiles. US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget A. Brink tweeted that Russia had launched an even more ferocious missile strike against Ukraine. He emphasized that he still supports Ukraine and stated that the Ukrainian people have strength.

“I have seen the power of the Ukrainian people and I know that Russia's attempt to dominate Ukraine by plunging it into darkness will fail. We support Ukraine," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitshcko stated that an important infrastructure facility had been blown up by a Russian missile. He also quoted an announcement from the Kyiv Regional Defense Command stating that the attack was followed by a second Russian missile that hit an apartment building in Vyshhorod, UNIAN news agency reported.

At least two people were injured in the attack, but the total number of victims is not yet known. Ukraine's Defense Ministry said six civilians were killed and 36 injured in the Russian attack on Wednesday.

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) managed to shoot down one missile over Kyiv. Social media showed the X-101 missile in the air over the city.

The Ukrainian Air Force noted that around 70 cruise missiles were fired by Russia, including some fired by Tu-95 bombers. The bomber flew over the Rostov region, Russia and launched its attack.
