Slovakia Ready to Discuss Transfer Issues of 11 MiG-29 Fighters To Ukraine |
Bratislava - Slovakia is ready to discuss the issue of transferring its 11 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy said this during a joint news conference with British Defense Minister Ben Wallace.
Nagy explained that his country is not big enough to provide aid to Ukraine. Therefore, Slovakia is considering the option of replacing its fighter jets with newer ones, or selling them.
He said each MiG-29 was worth around 35 million euros. UK Defense Minister welcomes Slovakia's support to Ukraine. Eleven Slovak MiG-29 fighter jets have been retired since late August 2022.
