Quoted from eurasia times (31/01/2023), Ukraine armed its commercially available Quadcopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with warheads from Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG) to attack Russian ground targets. In this attack attempt, the Russian military was repelled because several of its tank vehicles were slammed by Ukraine's rpg-7 rockets.
So what are the specifications of the Ukrainian RPG-7 Rocket?
The RPG-7 is a single-shot smoothbore steel tube that has a diameter of 40 millimeters. The center of the barrel is covered with wood to protect the operator from the heat of the blast and the two grips are located close together in the center of the weapon.
The RPG-7 has a maximum range of 920 meters at which the rocket can explode. However, this distance is not effective, because this weapon is only able to shoot effectively when the target is within 200 meters. At that range the shooters will have about a 50% chance of hitting a slowly moving 5 by 2.5 meter target.
The overall weight of the weapon is 13 Kg and has an overall length of 950mm (37.4 inches) which makes this weapon very light and compact to carry. Apart from that, the caliber of this weapon is also fairly fitting when compared to its compact size and shape.
The caliber of this weapon is 40 mm and the warhead caliber reaches 40-105 mm. This shape makes this weapon have a very good firing speed, reaching 115-300 m/s with a fire rate of up to 4 rpm.
