Ready To Become A Russian Nightmare, This Is The Sophistication Of The B-21 Raider Worth $750 Million |
Washington - The United States' B-21 Raider stealth bomber is ready to be deployed on the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield. Sophisticated aircraft which are estimated to cost up to USD 750 million will be a nightmare for Russia
Quoted from the Wall Street Journal, the US Air Force targets that the B-21 Raidder can fly thousands of miles to attack long-range enemies and avoid detection radars that are owned by today's most advanced air defenses.
The bombers are part of the United States' $1 trillion nuclear deterrence program, which will also include new nuclear submarines and land-based missiles to counter China's recently expanding nuclear power.
Northrop Grumman Corp says the B-21 can carry both conventional and nuclear weapons and can fly without a pilot. "The B-21 will guarantee this national defense for any conceivable scenario going forward, no other weapons system can," said Retired Air Force Lieutenant General David Deptula.
The B-21 Raider aircraft will form the backbone of the future US airborne nuclear weapons fleet and is designed to survive hitting even the most defended targets.
From the information that came out, the B-21 Raider takes most of its design from its predecessor. With America's potential adversaries developing and deploying advanced new air defense systems, much of the focus during development was survivability.
The B-21 bomber must be able to penetrate the toughest defenses and China has claimed that its radar can detect even stealth aircraft.
In addition to carrying out bombing missions, the B-21 Raider aircraft will be able to gather and share intelligence, assisting in direct strikes on various targets.
