Moskow - Russian troops destroyed three Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile systems in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over the past few days. This was disclosed by the spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
"In the residential areas of Ukrainsk, Novodmitrovka and Krasnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, positions were discovered and three radar stations of the Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile system were eliminated," the spokesman said, as quoted by the TASS news agency.
According to him, operational/tactical and military aviation aircraft, missile troops and artillery from Russian troop groups attacked 101 Ukrainian artillery units in firing positions, manpower and equipment in 197 areas over the past few days.
It was also reported that Russian forces backed by warplanes inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and equipment in the Kupyansk area, eliminating around 70 enemy soldiers over the past few days. "In the Kupyansk direction, attack aircraft and military aviation and artillery from the western battle group attacked Ukrainian manpower and equipment in areas near the settlements of Gryanikovka, Stepovaya Novosyolovka and Timkovka in the Kharkov Region," Konashenkov continued.
The attack obliterated the enemy's manpower and military hardware. "A total of 70 Ukrainian personnel, an armored fighting vehicle, three pickup trucks, two motorized vehicles, the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, the D-20 howitzer as well as the Polish self-propelled Krab self-propelled howitzer were also destroyed," he continued.
Still according to Konashenkov, Russian forces also attacked Ukrainian manpower in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating more than 235 enemy soldiers in the past day, the general reported. "In the direction of Krasny Liman, units, attack aircraft and army aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems from the Battlegroup Center attacked enemy troops in the area near the settlements of Terny, Torskoye and Grigorovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as Chervonaya Dibrova and Nevskoye in the Lugansk People's Republic, " he explained.
