4 Mainstay Fighter Jets of the BRICS Alliance Countries |
International Military - BRICS is a group of countries consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. They have at least four flagship fighter jets that strengthen the military strength of the BRICS. The group that was formed on the basis of rapid economic growth actually consists of countries that are currently developing rapidly, both in terms of their economy and military defense power.
The following are the four flagship BRICS fighter jets from various member countries.
1. Sukhoi Su-57 Felon
Quoted from Newsweek, the Su-57 has been labeled by the British Ministry of Defense as "Russia's most advanced fifth-generation supersonic fighter jet". The twin-engine single-seat aircraft began development in 2002 with the hope of being able to compete with the US F-35 jet. The greatness of this Russian Jet is always compared to its competitors from Uncle Sam's country.
2. Chengdu J-20
According to Business Insider, the Chengdu J-20 is China's most advanced stealth fighter nicknamed the "Mighty Dragon". The fighter jet by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group is designed to compete with the US F-22 Raptor and Russia's SU-57 fighter jets.
3. Sukhoi Su-30MKI
This Russian-made combat aircraft is a mainstay in India along with the Dassault Rafale from France. The Sukhoi Su-30MKI has been used exclusively by the New Delhi Air Force. By 2022, it is estimated that there will be around 30 of these aircraft in India. Although the technology is not as sophisticated as the two aircraft above, this Sukhoi can still show its skills on the battlefield.
4. Sukhoi Su-35
Russia is indeed a BRICS country that has a large contribution regarding military strength. Moscow's next multi-role fighter has always been compared to the US Air Force's F-16 jet. Until now the Su-35 is still Russia's mainstay, especially when carrying out attacks on Ukraine in this one year.
