Indonesia Will Receive 15 Bushmaster Tactical Vehicles From Australia |
Jakarta - Indonesia will receive 15 Bushmaster Tactical Vehicles (Rantis) from the Australian Government. Commission I of the DPR RI has approved the receipt of the grant. The decision was made after Commission I of the DPR RI listened to an explanation from Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra who represented Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and TNI Commander Admiral TNI Yudo Margono.
Furthermore, the fifteen Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles (BPMV) from the Australian Government will be used for the needs of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP TNI).
Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra said that the 15 Bushmasters that Indonesia would receive were in refurbished condition along with their supporting equipment. The total value of this procurement is approximately 29 million Australian dollars or IDR 290 billion, wrote the Antara News Agency.
The fifteen Ranti Bushmasters consist of 13 types of Troops, one type of Command, and one type of Ambulance, as well as their supporting parts.
In his presentation it was stated that the Bushmaster rantis can transport up to eight fully armed troop personnel. This vehicle can be operated for the next 20 years.
