For specifications, the Boomerang 8X8 weighs 34 tons, has dimensions of 8.8 m in length, 3.1 m in width and 3.1 m in height. As the driving force is a UTD-32TR turbo diesel engine with a power of 510 hp. It has a maximum speed of 100 km/h and an operating range of 800 km.
The Boomerang 8X8 is manned by a crew of three consisting of the driver, commander and gunsmith. The rear cabin can accommodate eight armed troops.
As the main weapon, the Boomerang 8X8 is equipped with a remote control weapon station (RCWS) armed with a 30mm caliber 2A42 or 57mm caliber BM-57 cannon. As a secondary weapon for clearing soft targets, the 7.62 mm PKMT coaxial machine gun is available. Panzers are also equipped with and 9M133 Kornet-EM anti-tank missiles.
