International Military - Sukhoi Russia is one of the manufacturers of fighter jets which is considered very great. This is because the various aircraft it produces have succeeded in strengthening the militaries of several countries in the world. Every year, Sukhoi produces fighter jets and develops new aircraft designs.
However, not all of its products are well-known, at least five Sukhoi fighter jets are known for their advantages. The following are Russia's five most famous Sukhoi fighter jets:
1. Sukhoi Su-57
Sukhoi Su-57 is the first generation fighter and is the most famous. The thing that makes this stealth fighter jet easy to recognize is the existence of artificial intelligence for anti-air and air-to-ground operations. 2. Sukhoi Su-75
The Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate is a fifth-generation futuristic single-engine advanced tactical air combat aircraft developed by Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi. The maximum speed of the Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate reaches Mach 1.8 (2,205km/h) with an operational range of more than 2,800 km without additional fuel tanks. Apart from being known as an efficient and agile jet, the Su-75 is also equipped with sophisticated weapons. 3. Sukhoi Su-34M
The Sukhoi Su-34M is a replacement for the Tu-23M and Su-24 and has entered service with the Russian armed forces since 2014. This fighter jet is famous for having the most prominent bomber system. Judging from its performance, this fighter is capable of flying up to speeds of 1,900 km/hour with a flight range of 4,000 km. Apart from performance, this aircraft is also equipped with advanced weapons such as air-to-air missiles, anti-radiation to guided bombs.
4. Sukhoi Su-27
The Sukhoi Su-27 entered production for the first time in 1982. In those days this type of aircraft was often a mainstay of the Russian military because it had a twin engine that could provide superiority in the air. Besides being easy to maneuver, this aircraft also turned out to have a fairly complete weapon. The Su-27 has a 30mm GSh-301 gun with 150 rounds of ammunition and various missiles, rockets and bombs mounted externally on ten hardpoints.
5. Sukhoi Su-30
The Sukhoi Su-30 is a two-seat multi-role fighter variant and is a development of the Su-27. Unlike the previous version, this fighter jet has a refueling probe, so it has a range of 5,200 km and a flight duration of up to 10 hours. For its capabilities, SU has now been ordered by many countries in the world. Moreover, India is also currently producing these types of aircraft locally under license.
