NATO Has Delivered More Than 1,500 Armored Vehicles And 230 Tanks To Ukraine |
International Military - NATO has delivered more than 1,500 armored vehicles and 230 tanks to Ukraine. That number is more than 98% of the combat vehicles NATO has promised Kyiv, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Thursday.
"Overall, through the Contact Group led by the United States, Allies and NATO partners have provided unprecedented support to Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.
It added that in total NATO has trained and equipped more than nine new Ukrainian armored brigades. Providing arms to Kyiv, he continued, was the best way to facilitate peace in Ukraine.
That way, he said, would allow President Vladimir Zelensky's regime to be in a strong negotiating position. However, Stoltenberg also warned not to underestimate Russia, which has sent thousands of soldiers to attack the city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut).
