International Military - T-84 Oplot Tank is a combat vehicle made in Ukraine. The T-84 is one of the war vehicles to face Russia, along with other MBTs that have been provided such as the Leopard, Challenger and Abrams.
Quoted from the Eurasian Times, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Rezkinov announced that he had tested and would buy the locally produced tank. Rezkinov stressed the importance of armored vehicles in the front line of defense to protect the Ukrainian army. He also gave many awards to the workers who had produced the T-84 Oplot Tank.
Specifications for the T-84 Oplot Tank The T-84 Oplot Tank that has been tested and will be purchased by Oleksiy Rezkinov is produced by the state-owned defense manufacturer, Ukroboronprom. More than twenty years ago, the Kharkiv Malyshev factory delivered ten T-84 Oplots to the Ukrainian army. Until now there are only about six to five tanks that are still active, so the existence of these tanks is quite rarely seen on the battlefield.
The T-84 Oplot Tank was introduced to the public in 2009, this combat vehicle has a navigation system, an optoelectronic countermeasures complex, a thermal imaging sight, and a combination and anti-radar protection system.
On the main armament side, the tank is equipped with a coaxial 125mm, 7.62mm machine gun, and 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun. In addition, there is also a 7.62 mm KT-7.62 machine gun with a rate of fire of 700-800 bullets per minute, as secondary armament.
This tank is also equipped with an integrated Combat weapon system to fire anti-tank guided missiles. This locally made tank is powered by a 6-cylinder diesel engine and there are two different engine versions. The first version provides 1200 horsepower and the second 1500 horsepower. The travel distance that can be reached using this tank reaches 500 km when the fuel tank is full.
The maximum speed is 70 km/h on the highway, and 45 km/h on steep terrain. On the defensive side, the Ukrainian tank has been fitted with more advanced armor, namely the Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA) package known as Kontakt-5, and a new electronic countermeasures system.
