Türkiye Will Produce Kizilelma Unmanned Fighter Jets From 2024 |
Ankara - Turkiye-based defense company Baykar Technologies will carry out low-level production of the Kizilelma Unmanned Fighter Jet starting in 2024. The company says this combat drone has received interest from a number of potential international customers.
Kizilelma is said to have a number of advantages over other drones. This unmanned fighter jet is capable of carrying air-to-air missiles for aerial combat like a manned fighter jet. The Kizilelma drone is expected to increase demand for Baykar products even more.
Meanwhile, other Baykar drone products such as the Bayraktar TB2 have also skyrocketed in the international market. Kizilelma is expected to follow in the footsteps of Bayraktar TB2's success.
Speaking on the sidelines of the recently concluded Teknofest 2023 aerospace and technology festival, Baykar described drones as the pinnacle of national aspirations and a product that demonstrates Turkey's capabilities in the field of military technology.
According to the company, drones will help Turkey to establish itself as an important player in the global defense industry. The success of Baykar's new drone could have significant implications for Turkiye's defense industry and its position on the world stage.
